The Silves Municipal Archeology Museum applied for the PROMUSEUS 2023 Financing Museum Support Program and will be helped.
As part of the application promoted by the Portuguese Museum Network, the director of the Silves Archeology Museum Maria José Gonçalves was at the Museu de Marinha, in Lisbon, on October 26th, representing the Municipality of Silves, to receive the Financing contract .
The financial support is intended to carry out the project “Scenic renovation of showcases and diversification of communication channels for exhibition content at the Municipal Museum of Archeology of Silves”, which aims to remodel its permanent exhibition by updating its contents and using means of communication multimedia.
Besides this, also the projects of the Portimão and Tavira Museums were approved following this competition.
