Fire destroys restaurant at Praia do Evaristo in Albufeira

A fire “practically completely” destroyed a restaurant on Praia do Evaristo, in Albufeira, this evening.

According to Correio da Manhã, the fire alert was given at 23:50 pm yesterday, Thursday, but the flames were only under control at 2:36 am. The CM adds that, "despite the high material damage, there were no injuries reported."

Citing a source from the Algarve Sub-regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command, the CM indicates that 32 operations were on site, with 13 vehicles, from the Volunteer Firefighters of Albufeira, Lagoa and São Bartolomeu de Messines, the GNR and the National Maritime Authority.
