Superbike Summer Fest is scheduled for August 2024

In 2024, the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve will host a round with an innovative concept and a debut in the Superbike world championship, which will be held again on the Portimão track on the 9th and 11th of August.

At Superbike Summer Fest, the concept that will debut in the Algarve, the races will take place at night or at the end of the day to «create an event that will be a true motorcycling party with many activities in the paddock and outside the circuit", according to Parkalgar.

This is one of the big news on the 2024 Superbike World Championship calendar, which was revealed today. The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve will host the seventh round of the 12 lined up between February and October.

«The idea of ​​holding our event in August was born together with Dorna and the aim is to innovate the concept of the event. For the first time we will have a race in this championship to be held at a more “end of the day” time and with an even more appealing concept for the public, who will certainly visit us and take the opportunity to enjoy a weekend that It will be a party with lots of activities throughout the day. We want the 2024 race to be a great Superbike party», according to Paulo Pinheiro, the executive director of Parkalgar.

The 2024 championship will «feature a lot of new features in its lineup, such as «Andrea Iannone or Sam Lowes» and «many changes in the most diverse teams and regulations».

In this way, «once again a very competitive and exciting championship is expected, with intense fights, not only in the three existing classes, but also in the new women's world championship that will accompany the Superbike world championship from next year», he adds to Parkalgar.

Tickets for the Superbike world championship race at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in 2024 will go on sale on Monday at AIA website.
