84 arrested in the last week in the Algarve

Between the 23rd and 29th of October, 46 doses of cocaine, a revolver, an automatic knife, an iron bat and two cell phones were also seized.

Between the 23rd and 29th of October, the GNR detained 84 people in the Algarve as part of operations to prevent and combat violent crime and road inspection.

Of the arrests, 27 stand out for driving without a legal license, 25 for driving under the influence of alcohol and three for drug trafficking.

During this period, 46 doses of cocaine were seized,a revolver, an automatic knife, an iron bat and two cell phones.

In traffic, 525 infractions were detected, highlighting 60 for speeding, 49 related to anomalies in lighting and signaling systems, 39 for lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 39 for improper use of a cell phone while driving, 21 for lack of civil liability insurance and 12 for lack of or incorrect use of seat belts and child restraint systems.

Between the 23rd and 29th, 118 accidents were recorded, resulting in one death, two serious injuries and 22 minor injuries.
