50 athletes participated in the IV Crosse Duathlon

The IV Cross Duathlon of Azinhal was organized by the Clube Leões do Sul

The IV Crosse Duathlon took place this Sunday, October 29th, in Castro Marim. The winners were athletes Afonso Alemão and Bettina Roschmann, from the Portimão Cycling Club.

In this 4th edition around 50 athletes participated, a challenge of 5 kilometers of running, 20 kilometers of cycling and another 2,5 kilometers of running, in one of the most traditional and unique villages in the municipality of Castro Marim and which simultaneously hosted the traditional monthly market.

The first male athlete to reach the goal was Afonso Alemão, from the Portimão Cycling Club. Fábio Faustino, from Vasco da Gama Atlético Clube, and Rafael Alemão, also from the Portimão Cycling Club, followed.

In the female category, the first athlete to cross the finish line was Bettina Roschmann, from the Portimão Cycling Club, followed by Susana Alemão, from the same team, and Cristiana Martins, from Lusitano Frusoal.

In the teams, Vasco da Gama Atlético Clube de Sines ranked first for men and Clube de Ciclismo de Portimão for women.

The IV Cross Duathlon of Azinhal was organized by the Clube Leões do Sul in partnership with the Castro Marim City Council, with the collaboration of the Azinhal Parish Council, Casa do Povo do Azinhal and the Baixo Guadiana MTB Association and the support coach of the Portuguese Triathlon Federation.
