36 arrested and 602 traffic violations detected in the last week

Weekly operational activity was released yesterday

Last week, between the 16th and 22nd of October, the GNR detained 36 people and detected 602 traffic violations.

Of the arrests, 13 stand out for driving under the influence of alcohol, 11 for driving without a legal license and three for drug trafficking.

During this period, 73 doses of cocaine, 10 doses of cannabis, a dagger and a knife were seized. 

Of the 602 violations detected in traffic, the GNR highlights 94 due to speeding, 52 related to anomalies in lighting and signaling systems, 51 due to lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 25 due to improper use of a cell phone while driving, 16 due to lack of or incorrect use of the seat belt and/or child restraint system and 15 due to lack of civil liability insurance.

There were still 134 accidents recorded, with 28 minor injuries.
