Portimão City Council continues to look for centenarian citizens living in the municipality, with the aim of paying homage to them, and is asking for the population's help in locating citizens over 100 years old, «so that no one is forgotten».
The municipality appeals «anyone who knows someone aged 100 or over residing in Portimão should contact the municipality's services by October 2nd, either by email [email protected], or via the numbers 282 470 787, 282 470 731 and 969 757 882, indicating the name of the centenary person, their date of birth and telephone number».
In November 2022, Portimão City Council honored the 13 centenarians that were identified in the municipality, until that date.
