Listening and reading makes Tavira's children grow again

Until November, there are sessions of the project “Listening and reading makes you grow!” on the 3rd Saturday of the month

The session “Um conto contigo”, by Patrícia Ricardo, author of the children's book “Faz: because you are capable”, will kick off another edition of the project “Listening and reading makes you grow!”, on Saturday , on the 16th, at 15:30 pm, at the Álvaro de Campos Municipal Library.

The initiative, lasting approximately 60 minutes and limited to 25 participants, is aimed at parents and children between 4 and 6 years old.

This will be the first of several “Listening and reading makes you grow!” workshops, taking place until November, always on the 3rd Saturday of the month – in addition to the one that will take place this week, sessions are scheduled for October 21st and November 18th.

«The sessions will allow for discovery and playful learning, exploring the imagination and motivating children and their families to create regular reading habits», according to Câmara de Tavira.

«Reading is a construction process, and it is essential to accompany children on this journey. Early childhood is considered an extremely important stage in human development (cognitive, motor, emotional and social), with reading being an essential skill”, concludes the municipality.
