The Bathing Season Entertainment program in Albufeira continues to liven up the warm September nights, at Largo Eng.º Duarte Pacheco, in the city center, with the best of culture and local identity, through the promotion of shows.
The band Entretenga took to the stage on the 6th and on the 13th, from 21:30 pm, the show will be performed by the Oriental Dances group from Futebol Clube de Ferreiras, thus ending this year's “Bathtime Entertainment” program. .
The “Noites no Jardim” concert cycle, taking place since the end of July, in Jardim de Montechoro, popularly known as “Jardim dos Casamentos”, is also coming to an end.
There were several more intimate concerts, which, over the three summer months, brought local artists to bring animation and new life to the iconic Jardim do Montechoro.
The event, with free entry, has been a success among residents and tourists. The last show of this summer is scheduled for tomorrow, with a performance by AL Guitar Duo 4TETO, at 21:30 pm.
The Albufeira 35mm: Outdoor Cinema Cycle program also comes to an end, with the screening of the film “Cesária Évora” by Ana Sofia Fonseca.
The Parque Lúdico de Albufeira was the stage chosen for next Sunday, the 10th, at 21:30 pm.
Ana Sofia Fonseca's film presents a portrait of Cesária Évora, a Cape Verdean singer, who fought for freedom and reached the top of the global music scene.
The documentary presents the diverse political and social contexts of the artist's life and the universal themes of freedom and racial and gender inequality, all illustrated by never-before-seen archival footage, original songs and unique testimonies from the people who knew her.
The film was one of the winners of the 12th edition of the Sophia Awards, awarded by the Portuguese Cinema Academy. The work won in the “Best Documentary” category in Feature Film. To not lose.
Closing the entertainment of the summer season, at Albufeira Marina, at 21:30 pm on September 23rd, the last two sessions of the Gala Equestre Algarve will take place. The equestrian menu is served in a majestic and elegant way, with classical riding exercises choreographed by riders from the Algarve's high riding school, while fusion, in the arena, with other performing arts. A moment of celebration of the “Lusitano Horse” and its unmistakable qualities. All of these events are free entry, subject to space capacity.
