This publication is the result of extensive research conducted by researcher José Ruivinho Brazão

The book “Nossa Terra, Nosso Povo – The voice of the community in the poetic expression of traditional inspiration”, by the poet Joaquim Miquelino Gomes (1888-1983), will be presented this Thursday, September 14th, at 18 pm, at Alcaidaria do Loulé Castle.

This publication is the result of extensive research conducted by researcher José Ruivinho Brazão, who rescued the legacy of this poet who lived between Portugal and France, sharing experiences with António Aleixo in Paris.

The work unfolds over six chapters and highlights the popular poetry of a traditionally inspired author, focusing on themes such as love, social criticism, imagery and humour, always in tenths with the motto.

The presentation will be given by Ana Isabel Soares, specialist in Portuguese Literature and Cinema at the University of Algarve.

This work has the support of Loulé City Council, Boliqueime Parish Council and Albufeira City Council, in an initiative of the Association for Research and Study of Orality (APEOralidade).
