Government reduces tax burden on fuels with ISP discount

According to the executive, the discount on the ISP «amounts to 15,1 cents per liter on diesel and 16,3 cents per liter on gasoline»

The Government will return the additional VAT revenue through a discount on the Tax on Petroleum Products (ISP), which will translate into an additional reduction of two cents per liter on diesel and one cent on gasoline.

«Within the framework of price developments, the Government determines the return of additional VAT revenue, via the ISP, taking as a reference the values ​​prior to the conflict in Ukraine, translating into an additional reduction of two cents per liter on diesel and one cent per liter on gasoline", the Ministry of Finance announced in a statement today.

According to the executive, the discount on the ISP «thus amounts to 15,1 cents per liter on diesel and 16,3 cents per liter on gasoline», and, «taking into account all the measures in force, the tax reduction is 25 cents per liter of diesel and 26 cents per liter of gasoline”.
