There may be music for all tastes, but Festival F, which takes place from the 7th to the 9th of September in Faro, does not end at concerts. Gatherings, performing arts and crafts are some of the proposals that complete the three days of the event.

As in previous editions, the gatherings will play a central role in the programme, taking the debate to the Cloisters of the Cathedral on a daily basis.

One of the highlights on the agenda is the topic of Artificial Intelligence in artistic creation, moderated by radio broadcaster Luís Oliveira, with the participation of Matilde Campilho, writer on the national literary scene, and Rui Melo, actor, musician and director.

The press and journalism scene will be another of the protagonists of these informal conversations, with the theme “Where is the news?”: Miguel Ribeiro (SIC), Mafalda Anjos (VISÃO) and Rita Marrafa de Carvalho (RTP).

With the world of haute cuisine gaining an ever-increasing number of followers in Portugal, “Is cooking an act of love or pure selfishness?” is another of the themes present.

The gathering features the participation of Vanessa Oliveira, television presenter, and Rodrigo Meneses, MasterChef Portugal competitor in the 2011 edition and organizer of events and workshops, moderated by Nuno Miguel Dias, journalist and gastronome.

Artistic intervention is back on the cards in this edition and takes place all over the festival grounds, with the presence of names such as Al-Fanfare, Funkarmonica, Grupo Coral Ossonoba and the dance group Urban Xpression.

The Emergente artistic residency program takes several artists and structures working in the areas of theater, dance, contemporary circus and visual arts to Fábrica da Cerveja. Also in this space, several performances will take place and pieces will be presented as part of the BoCA – Biennial of Contemporary Arts, which Faro welcome for the second time.

The spaces of the Municipal Museum of Faro and Galeria Trem are hosting the exhibition “Natureza Paralela”, by Manuel Baptista, while Galeria Arco will be exhibiting “Faro outside the city”, by Eduardo Pinto.

In addition to these initiatives, there is the VATe children's and youth theater run by the Companhia de Teatro do Algarve, with two daily sessions in the auditorium on wheels located next to the SAGRES – Ria Stage, and also Artists & Fleas.

Always positioned as an event for the whole family, Festival F also offers a space dedicated to the little ones: Fagar Kids F, in the area of Palco SAGRES – Ria. Here future generations of festival-goers are invited to experience the numerous activities and recreational-pedagogical experiences within the scope of Environmental Sustainability.

Temperatures can still be inviting to experience the Jamanta Sunset Lounge Catamaran. This boat with the concept of a floating bar has its first boarding scheduled for 16pm at the Olhão marina and arrives at Faro at 17:30 pm. From that time onwards, festival ticket holders can board via shuttle.

The Jamanta will be anchored near the Commercial Pier of Faro in order to allow the participants to continue in the surroundings of the event, with an experience until 20:00 in the middle of Ria Formosa.
