Farense beats Braga fairly

With this victory, the Algarve team have 6 points and are in 8th position

Farense beat Sporting de Braga 3-1, in the 5th round of the I Football League, played this Saturday, September 16th, at the São Luís Stadium.

It was a fair victory for José Mota's men.

Despite the balanced start, the Algarve team began to dominate after 20 minutes of the first half and never gave Braga much of a chance again.

The first goal was scored in the 31st minute, by Bruno Duarte. After a shot against the bar by João Moutinho, Farense launched a very quick counterattack that culminated in a goal from the Algarve striker who shot inside the area, after dribbling José Fonte.

The second would appear in the first part. In the 45th minute, Belloumi shot hard, the ball was saved by Matheus who then made a mistake.

The goalkeeper tried to grab the ball inside the area, but slipped and the ball was at the mercy of Rui Costa, who shot to count.

In the second half, Farense could have scored the 3rd, right from the start. Rui Costa, called upon to convert a penalty, shot way over the top.

The Algarve team didn't score... they reduced Braga. Djaló crossed and Banza, at the far post, headed the ball to make it 2-1 (56′).

But Farense didn't give up and scored the third in the 59th minute, with a good goal from Belloumi, the best on the field.

With this victory, the Algarve team has 6 points and is in 8th place. In the next round, Farense visits Moreirense's ground (23rd, at 15:30 pm).
