The Centro Hospitalar Universitário do Algarve (CHUA) will name the pediatrician João Rosa, who died in an accident earlier this year, to the green park of the Hospital de Faro.
The CHUA has already begun, moreover, the «regeneration of the green park», surrounding the hospital, «with the replanting and placement of 57 new trees».
This initiative is part of CHUA's environmental sustainability policy and follows the start of work on the installation of the new Medically Assisted Procreation Service.
The new green park will then be named after the doctor João Rosa, who was also director of the neonatology service and died at the age of 57.
The pediatrician died on January 28 of this year, in a motorcycle accident, near the pumps in Auchan, in Faro, after leaving hospital service.
In addition to being director of the neonatology service, João Rosa was also director of pediatric intensive care.
