200 people went to the «best FATACIL ever»

200 thousand people went to FATACIL, which took place from the 18th to the 27th of August, in Lagoa, making this the «best edition ever». 

This was a “very similar” number to that recorded in 2019, the year before the pandemic.

«The last day, in which dadista Mariza was present, accompanied by Orquestra do Algarve, was the one with the highest number of visitors, having reached more than 23 thousand entries in the enclosure», says the Câmara de Lagoa.

This year's edition was the one that sold the most online tickets (32 thousand).

This year, «there was an expansion of the enclosure, with an increase of 8 thousand square meters, creating better conditions of comfort and safety, the repositioning of the lounge area and the Palco Lagoa, the concerts of the FATACIL Stage started to be transmitted on screens in the area restoration, which greatly contributed to a more pleasant and valued experience for the families who visited the event», says the municipality.

This year's edition also had a spectacle of video mapping, alluding to the 250th anniversary of the county's creation, street entertainment, a children's theater play and the largest space ever set aside for children to play.

«The environmental commitment was also reinforced, with the return of reusable cups, discarding single-use units. In this edition, there was no usual fireworks, on the last night, having been replaced by a multimedia drone show, taking into account animal welfare», says the municipality.

In the equestrian program, there were names like Kevin Ferreira, Rafael Arcos, Miguel da Fonseca, Clemence Faivre, Bruno Cavalinhos, Patrícia Rocha, Francisco Cancella de Abreu or Salvador Pessanha.

«After making the positive assessment of the 42nd edition of FATACIL, I would like to thank everyone who made this edition possible, especially the employees of the Municipality, from the most diverse areas, for their dedication and unsurpassed professionalism, so that we can say, once again, we had the best FATACIL ever», says Luís Encarnação, president of the Lagoa Chamber.
