Vicentina is already preparing the implementation of the ADERE 2030 strategy

Agreement signing session took place in Lagos

The signing session of the partnership agreement for the execution of the Vicentina ADERE 2030 strategy, which took place in the Auditorium Paços do Concelho of the Municipality of Lagos, took place on the 27th of July. 

Bioeconomy, ecotourism, wine tourism, circular economy, endogenous resources, short circuits, water efficiency, agroecology, population aging, youth, nature and biodiversity and the problem of drought in the western Algarve were some of the topics covered.

The session was opened by Hugo Pereira, mayor of Lagos, while Márcio Viegas, vicentina president, contextualized the work carried out by the association, highlighting the six sessions held within the scope of the ADERE 2030 strategy and the topics covered, including these the territory and the dichotomy between rural and urban, the territorial asymmetries between coast and interior and the role of the Rural GAL in the territory.

The presentation of the partnership, territory and governance was carried out by Aura Fraga, director and coordinator of the GAL, in which the intervention territory of the ADERE 2030 strategy was addressed, the type of partner entities, their distribution by municipalities, the network partnership and governance goals.

The Vicentina ADERE 2030 strategy was presented by Nuno Prata, consultant from Aliados Consulting, who highlighted the diagnosis applied to demography, economy and employment, tourism and agricultural production.

Thematic approaches, main and complementary needs and outcome indicators were also discussed.

The meeting was attended by the partners and associates of ADERE 2020, members of the Local Administration, the Regional Administration, as well as public and private entities, associations and foundations.

Community-Based Local Development (DLBC) is a form of integrated approach to territorial development which, in its rural aspect, is supported by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), through the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy (PEPAC) .
