The Municipality of São Brás de Alportel has launched an extraordinary call for applications for the Lease Support Programme, in its 2023 edition, which runs until 25 August.
Launched in 2020, this program has already awarded 133 supports and is now available to support more people from São Paulo, who will be able to count on monthly help from the City Council to pay their rent.

«Aware of the growing and widespread difficulty in accessing housing throughout the country, the Municipality has sought to respond to this problem by creating concrete measures, such as the Municipal Lease Support Programme, which consists of granting monthly monetary support to support households in a vulnerable situation in paying their rent», explains the Câmara de São Brás.
Throughout the year, the Social Services receive new requests for support that deserve analysis and can be part of the Programme, in situations of significant social need.
In addition to this programme, the Municipality of São Brás also launched, in 2020, the Youth Lease Support Programme, a new social response that promotes access to housing, suited to the needs of young families and is currently committed to implementing the Local Housing Strategy.
