São Brás de Alportel: Blasius Association and athletes receive vote of praise

Guilherme Jesus, Francisco Batarda and Rui Cruz were recognized for the results achieved at national level

The Chamber of São Brás de Alportel delivered votes of praise to the Blasius Association and its athletes for the results achieved this season.

Guilherme Jesus, Francisco Batarda and Rui Cruz were recognized for the results achieved nationally in the Downhill modality in the Masters 50 and Elite categories.

In a note, the municipality of São Paulo reinforces that Blasius (Association for the Development of Two-Wheeled Sports in São Brás de Alportel) is «a symbol of sports dynamics and the organization of major initiatives in the field
sport within the modality of Downhill and Enduro».

The MCF / XDream team added to their curriculum the second place of the Portuguese Cup in Downhill, held at Pista do Javali, Viana do Castelo, on the 4th of June.

The founder of the association and mentor of the modality at a local level, Rui Cruz, won the Portuguese Cup and became National Champion of Masters 50, having climbed to the podium together with his teammate, Franscisco Batarda, who finished in third place of this category.

On the 4th of June, in Porto de Mós, Guilherme Jesus also won the last stage of the Portuguese Downhill Cup in the Elite category.

«An achievement, since it was the first time that an Algarve won this race».

Guilherme Jesus ranked sixth in the final standings of the Portuguese Downhill Cup, which was disputed between 112 athletes.
