Athletics World Championships: Algarvio Isaac Nader is 12th in the 1.500 meters

The Algarve's Isaac Nader was ranked 12th today in the 1.500 meters final of the World Athletics Championships, in Budapest, won by the British Josh Kerr.

Isaac Nader, 24 years old, born in Faro, completed in 03.35,41 minutes the race that marked the return of Portuguese athletes to the distance finals, after Rui Silva's bronze, in Helsinki2005, improving the 40th he had achieved in his debut, in Oregon2022.

Josh Kerr beat, with his personal best (03.29,38 minutes), the Norwegian Jakob Ingebrigtsen, Olympic champion and world runner-up in this distance, in second place, while the also Norwegian Narve Gilje Nordas finished in third place.
