Mariza takes the stage with Orquestra do Algarve at the close of FATACIL

With a lineup carefully selected for the occasion

A concert by Mariza with Orquestra do Algarve, conducted by maestro Martim Sousa Tavares, tomorrow, Sunday, August 27th, at 22, will close the concert program of another edition of FATACIL.

In this concert, with a carefully selected lineup for the occasion, Mariza combines her sound with that of Orquestra do Algarve.

As usual, she will be accompanied by her trio of Fado musicians, with Luís Guerreiro on Portuguese guitar, Phelipe Ferreira on viola and Adriano Alves “Dinga” on bass, but also by accordionist João Frade and percussionist João Freitas.

The organization of the fair recalls that Mariza was, «for some years, the owner of the biggest flood of FATACIL, in a single day».

Accustomed to filling the best venues and venues in the world, as far as music is concerned, the same is expected to happen at the Lagoa Fairs and Exhibitions Park, with the artist drawing crowds on the last day.

20 years of career, 20 years of music, 20 years of a journey that began discreetly, as an almost hidden local phenomenon, shared only by a small circle of Lisbon admirers, and which made Mariza, and her extraordinary voice, one of the most applauded stars of the World Music circuit, and a true Fado ambassador who does not hesitate to take it along new and daring paths, without ever losing sight of its soul.

No other Portuguese artist since Amália Rodrigues has built an international career with similar success, accumulating success after success on the most prestigious world stages, enthusiastic references from the most demanding music critics and an endless succession of international awards and distinctions.

And her repertoire, while remaining firmly anchored in classic and contemporary Fado, has expanded to include Cape Verdean mornas, Rhythm & Blues classics and whatever other melodies she holds dear.

On the same day, on the Lagoa Stage, the fado singer Luana Velasquez will perform, between 20 pm and 30 pm.

The FATACIL day ticket costs 5 euros, while the family day ticket costs 16 euros. Children up to 12 years old (inclusive) do not pay admission,
upon presentation of the Citizen Card.

To avoid the queues at the entrance, tickets can be purchased through BOL online box office at Fnac, at Worten, and at the fair, at the local ticket offices that will be open during the days of the fair.
