90 operators, supported by 23 vehicles and two air assets, are currently fighting a fire in Marmelete, in the municipality of Monchique.

The alert for the fire, in a bush area, was given at 16:55 pm this Tuesday, August 29, according to information advanced on the Civil Protection website.

NOTE: This fire turned out to be, fortunately, a false alarm, despite having appeared on the ANEPC website for about an hour and then having been declared “under resolution”, on the same website.
