O development Verdelago Resort opened this Tuesday, July 4th, between Praia Verde and Altura (Castro Marim), «with strong demand».
This is a 5-star resort and has “Salicornia” – a restaurant with open kitchen, with the signature of the Venetian chef Marco Alban two bars (indoor and outdoor) with cocktails signature, plus a infinity pool and a open market.
In addition to these features, there is the Wellness Dome, a complex with several multi-sports fields (two tennis courts, four padel courts, a football field, a sand volleyball court, foot volleyball court and beach soccer), a track (pump track) for BMX / MTB, several pedestrian and cycle paths of about 7 kilometers through cork oaks and pine trees, family support services (kids club e babysitting), a swimming pool in the central area of the resort, and in the future, an orchard and vegetable garden for local products and a riding arena with horses for riding within the complex.

Interested parties will be able to choose between T1, T2 and T3 apartments and the townhouses, V2 and V3, with two and three bedrooms (T2 from 760 euros per night and townhouses from 840 euros per night).
The development also has a Green Recreation and Leisure Park of around 42 hectares, a 24-hectare nature reserve in front of the sea, areas for environmental interpretation, conservation and habitat promotion and a two-hectare lake. The temporary ponds are in charge of CCMAR (Center for Marine Sciences of the University of Algarve), while the fauna and flora are ensured by Associação Vita Nativa.
By the end of this year, the construction of a 5-star hotel, with an international seal, with 197 rooms, is scheduled to begin. In total, over a period of 7 to 10 years, the resort will have more than 2000 beds, including 340 tourist residential units.
