Maritime Police identify 17-year-old for drug possession Farol

As he was a minor, the Commission for the Protection of Children and Young People was contacted.

A 17-year-old youth was identified yesterday, the 11th, by the Maritime Police of Olhão, for possession of narcotics, in the housing nucleus of Farol, on Ilha da Culatra (Faro).

According to the National Maritime Authority, the young man, of Portuguese nationality, had in his possession about 40 grams of hashish, which "was seized as evidence".

The Public Prosecutor's Office was contacted and, as he was a minor, also the Commission for the Protection of Children and Young People (CPCJ).

The suspect was present to the judicial authorities during today.

In this action, two members of the Maritime Police of Olhão participated, supported by a vessel.

The local command of the Olhão Maritime Police took care of the incident.
