Guitar Master Class and concert close stage of the Young Musicians of the Algarve Project

This year's theme is "100 Guitars"

The stage of the Project JMA – Young Musicians of the Algarve will culminate on Friday, July 14th, at 19 pm, with a closing concert, in Praça de Agadir, in Olhão, with free access to the general public.

The Orquestra de Guitarras internship, whose theme this year is “100 Guitars”, has been running since the 11th and ends tomorrow, the 14th of July.

It has a Guitar Master Class under the direction of Pedro Rodrigues, an integrated researcher at INET-md, assistant professor at the Department of Communication and Art at the University of Aveiro, director of the Master’s in Music course and, since 2019, artistic director of the Autumn Festivals of the University of Aveiro.

 

 

The JMA Project – Young Musicians of the Algarve is «an initiative of the public and private schools of the Specialized Artistic Teaching of Music in the Algarve region», whose objective is to encourage the spirit of unity and collaboration between them and to publicize the work carried out together. of your students.

It integrates teachers and students from the entire network of public and private schools with Specialized Artistic Music Teaching, namely the Conservatório de Música de Olhão, the Conservatório de Música de Loulé Francisco Rosado and the Escola EBS da Bemposta (Portimão), among others.

This project, successfully started last school year, now continues under the organization of the Conservatório de Música de Olhão, with the support of the Municipality of Olhão and the Grouping of Schools Dr. Francisco Fernandes Lopes, with the completion of this four-day internship, which includes guitar students between the 11th and 14th of July.
