The Azinhal Folklore Festival takes place this Saturday, July 15, from 21 pm, on a night «dedicated to culture and tradition».
This 26th edition counts on the participation of the Folklore Ranch Serra do Ceira (Góis), the Folklore Ranch of the Culture and Recreation Center of Foros da Fonte Seca (Redondo), the Folkloric Ranch of Charneca (Pombal), and the host group : the Folkloric Ranch of Azinhal (Algarve).
Known for its bobbin lace makers, the village of Azinhal «carries with it a strong trace of the cultural character of the municipality of Castro Marim, being the perfect place for this initiative», says the City Council.
The XXVI Folklore Festival of Azinhal is organized by Casa do Povo and Rancho Folclórica do Azinhal and has the support of the Municipality of Castro Marim and the Local Parish Council.
