From wines to books: thematic fairs are part of “Summer in Tavira”

Between July 14th and September 10th

The “Tavira: Wine Days” fair, the Book fair, the Crafts fair, the Antiques and Old Goods fair, the Stocks fair and the Mediterranean Diet Fair will, between 14 July and 10 September, be part of the “Summer in Tavira”. 

From the 14th to the 16th of July, in Rua do Cais, between 18 pm and midnight, another edition of “Tavira: The Wine Days” takes place, an event that is attended by 00 stands with wine producers from almost all regions of the country, as well as some stands with snacks and regional sweets.

Entry costs 10 euros and includes a free tasting glass. All white, rosé, red, sparkling and fortified wines on tasting will be available.

The initiative is organized by Associação Cegos por Provas with the support of Tavira City Council.

At the 27th Book Fair, from the 20th of July to the 6th of August, between 20:00 and 00:30, different publishers are represented in 30 pavilions. The program for the event, under the heading Meeting with Authors, includes conversations with writers and the presentation of new editions.

On the 20th, at 22 pm, the first session will take place at the Álvaro de Campos Municipal Library. On the remaining days, the meetings take place in the same place, at 00:18.

The Book Fair also includes, from 22:00, in the hall of the Municipal Library, several autograph sessions.

From the 8th to the 16th of August, between 19 pm and midnight, there is the Feira dos Ofícios, organized by the Associação de Artes e Sabores de Tavira (ASTA), which has the support of the Tavira municipality.

The Antiques and Antiques Fair takes place from the 18th to the 27th of August, between 19:00 and 00:00, and counts on the presence of several antique dealers. «This exhibition aims to present and sell pieces to collectors or simply interested parties», explains the municipality.

The Tavira Stock Fair takes place from the 30th of August to the 3rd of September, between 19:00 and 23:30. This initiative is promoted by the Associação da Baixa de Tavira with the participation of local traders.

Visitors will thus have the opportunity to purchase stock products from the various brands at affordable prices.

Finally, in September, another Mediterranean Diet Fair arrives, between the 7th and 10th of September.

Regional Office of the Algarve, the University of the Algarve, the Regional Directorate for Agriculture and Fisheries of the Algarve, the
Regional Directorate for Culture, the Algarve Tourism Region, the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Vila Real de
Santo António and the Algarve, by the municipal company TaviraVerde and Associação In Loco.
