The Municipal Assembly of Faro approved the documents for the consolidation of the Municipality's accounts, which aggregate all the accounts of the municipality, Municipal Theater and also management reports and accounts of Fagar and Ambifaro for 2022 «returned to positive results», the Municipality announced this Wednesday.
In this sense, the net result in the individual financial statements of each entity in the consolidation perimeter was positive in the Municipality with 7.718.787,92 euros, higher than that recorded in 2021 (1.560.422,21 euros) and 2020 (4.358.097,52. XNUMX euros).
Also Fagar, which provides public water supply, wastewater treatment, urban solid waste collection and urban cleaning services to the population of the municipality of Faro, ended the 2022 financial year with a net result of 346.364,13 euros, compared to a result of 98.511,16 euros registered in 2021.
«It should be noted that this result has evolved favorably since 2020, when Fagar presented a negative value of around 267.610,93 euros, as a result of the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic», says the Chamber of Deputies Faro.
Ambi alreadyfaro – Management of Municipal Equipment EM – which is in charge of managing the Municipal Market, managing, operating and supervising parking areas of limited duration and carrying out actions aimed at boosting the city – achieved a positive net result in 2022 of 110.201,28 euros, also presenting a significant increase compared to the result of 15.342,54 euros in 2021 and 16.130,68 euros in 2020.
The Municipal Theater of Faro, Serviços Municipalizados, the entity responsible for managing Teatro das Figuras, registered a positive net result of 2022 euros in 59.744,30, compared to a negative figure of 20.983,85 euros in the previous year, «circumstances of the return to its normal activity, after the end of restrictive measures related to the pandemic".
«The consolidation of accounts for 2022 embodies the path marked by the Municipality, as the dominant entity, which in 2022 sought to overcome the uncertainties arising from the rise in prices and the rate of inflation, as a result of the War between Russia and Ukraine, through of prudence in carrying out expenditure, which was also reflected in terms of expenditure and the cash values of the various entities, as well as the management balance for the following year», explains the Municipality of Faro.
At the same time, the lifting of restrictions imposed by the pandemic made it possible for the economy to resume in the municipality, leading to the net result of each of these entities being higher than the previous year.
For the Municipality of Faro, «it will be necessary to draw duly defined lines to move forward, in troubled times, taking into account the uncertainties that still exist in terms of rising prices and the rate of inflation, so that the Autárquico Group continues to exercise its activity maintaining positive results and ensuring the development of the municipality».
