21 arrested and thousands of doses of drugs seized during the Rolling Loud festival

Images obtained through the video surveillance system installed in Praia da Rocha were a great help to the authorities

21 people were arrested for drug trafficking and thousands of doses of drugs were seized on the occasion of the Rolling Loud musical festival, which took place in Praia da Rocha, between 5 and 7 July, announced the District Command of the PSP of Faro.

PSP points out that the festival «had around 25 spectators daily», which justified an «increase in policing in the city of Portimão».

«This complex police operation, which involved the different valences of the Portimão Police Division, reinforced by the Special Police Unit and the Police Division of Faro, aimed essentially at ensuring the maintenance of public order, the management of road traffic and the prevention of criminal activities that generate a greater feeling of insecurity in the community, in the area of ​​responsibility of the PSP», adds that force of authority.

Precious help in the police work were the «images obtained through the video surveillance system installed in the Praia da Rocha area», which was important for the arrest of 21 people for the practice of drug trafficking.

2008 doses of cocaine, 1292 doses of marijuana, 1135 doses of amphetamines and 248 doses of hashish were also seized, as well as 2875 euros from drug trafficking.
