The results of “Algarve Craft & Food” will be presented on the 23rd of June, at the closing session of this project, which aims to stimulate the cultural and creative industries in the Algarve, which will take place at the Museu Regional do Algarve, in the CCDR do Algarve building, in Faro.
This ceremony will be part of the “Handsome – International Festival of Creative Tourism of the Algarve”, an initiative of the Algarve Tourism Board, Tertúlia Algarvia – Center for Knowledge in Culture and Traditional Food of the Algarve and QRER – Cooperative for the Development of Territories of Low Density, which are also the driving force behind “Algarve Craft & Food”.
The project in focus is an initiative co-financed by CRESC Algarve 2020, «focused on stimulating, promoting and internationalizing cultural and creative industries based on crafts and food products in the Algarve», according to its promoters.
In the session on the 23rd, the “Algarve Craft & Food” prizes will also be awarded and a conversation will take place on “Creative tourism in the Algarve: the perspective of the protagonists”, with designer Alexandra Santos, ceramist Lilia Lopes and chefs Bruno Viegas and Alexandra Caetano. Moderation is in charge of Marco Lopes, director of the Municipal Museum of Faro.
