A 36-year-old woman was caught on the afternoon of Thursday, June 15th, setting fire to various parts of Mata de Monte Gordo (Vila Real de Santo António), with a lighter.
The alert was given by a popular.
Upon arriving at the scene, members of the Maritime Police approached the woman who was arrested at the premises of the Maritime Police in Vila Real de Santo António and will be present in court tomorrow.
The Judiciary Police and the Public Ministry were also contacted.
The Vila Real de Santo António firefighters extinguished all fires.
