Summer Market has reopened at Jardim Filipe Jonas in Quarteira

Joint initiative of the Municipality of Loulé and the Parish Council of Quarteira

Another edition of the Summer Market opened its doors this Friday, June 16th, at Jardim Filipe Jonas, in Quarteira, in an event that, until September 10th, will be a must-visit point for anyone who wants to spend lively moments on these summer nights, always inviting for a walk.

Entertainment, music, handicrafts and gastronomy are the four components of this event, which was designed to create a new centrality in this area further from the waterfront in an infrastructured space, suitable for the development of activities related to street vending.

Spaces for children's entertainment (and beyond) such as carousels or bumper cars, musical shows (which will only start from July 3), handicrafts from the region and the country and a bet on street-food are some of the proposals that this Market presents again.

In the musical component, the “menu” will be diversified, with sounds for all tastes, with the protagonists being mainly the silver of the house, that is, local and regional bands. Dance and folklore will also have their moments on the stage installed in the venue.

This initiative takes place at the following times: from Sunday to Thursday, from 19:30 to 00:00, and on Friday and Saturday, from 19:30 to 01:00. Admission is free.

The Quarteira Summer Market is a joint initiative of the Loulé City Council and the Quarteira Parish Council.

This event stems from a strategy to qualify the public space and aims to improve the quality of stay for the citizens of Quarteira and the thousands who visit the city during the summer, with the aim of creating an alternative to the Calçadão.

The music and animation start on the 3rd of July.
