Lota Cool Market returns to bring “Blue Fever” to the riverside area of ​​Portimão

Lota Cool Market takes place between the 5th and 9th of July

The Lota Cool Market returns to the riverside area of ​​Portimão, between the 5th and 9th of July, for an edition focused on environmental awareness and preservation of the aquatic environment, under the theme “Blue Fever”. 

Considered “the coolest market in the south”, the event will take place from 18 pm to 00 am and will increase the area occupied, promising more dynamism, namely in Jardim Visconde Bivar through the Young Cool Vibe, a space dedicated to five young artisans, one for each end of afternoon, which in small workshops will demonstrate their 'cool' art from the perspective of the sea, surfing and the protection of the oceans.

As usual, there will be a catering area made up of 12 foodtrucks and small vehicles, while in the square in front of the old auction market, three dozen craftsmen and local producers will be present.

Also in this area will be the Choque Frontal ao Vivo stage, powered by the popular Alvor FM radio programme, which will host concerts every night with the following schedule: July 5th – Filipa Sousa and Mário Inácio (20pm) and Brasa Doirada (00pm) ; 22th of July – João Vila Nova and André Pereira (00 pm) and Fernando Leal & Banda (6 pm); 20th of July – Macadamia (00h22) and Domingos Caetano, from Íris
(22h00); July 8 – Carmen Danen (20 pm) and Tércio Nanook “One man show” (00 pm); 22th of July – José Francisco (00 pm) and Knightriders / Tribute to the 9s (20 pm).

in the various foodtrucks existing ones, visitors will be able to consume street food for all tastes, from vegan and vegetarian food, to hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, sweet and savory empanadas and crepes, Aveiro tripe, Belgian waffles, brigadeiros and ice cream. To accompany, there will be no shortage of the Alentejo brand of gin Black Pig, sour cherries in chocolate cups, Algarvian Granny & Flavor liqueurs and the best wines of the region.

 

 

As for handicrafts and new design, the brands present will inspire the reuse and recycling of materials, as well as the preservation of water that, through art, gain new life, and products such as crochet and macramé pieces, clothing, can be found at Lota Cool Market. botanical jewelry and natural cosmetics, among others.

In turn, Happy Van will present a loaf of bread that serves as a Photobus to capture good memories of the event, not missing paintings with henna paint and inflatables for children.

Once again considered an eco-event thanks to the partnership with Algar, the Lota Cool Market will encourage the prevention and reduction of the quantities of waste produced, with the separation of packaging and the selective collection and recycling of the quantities produced on the premises.

In a note, the Portimão Council recalls that “The Lota Cool Market” is already a reference and has been winning over more and more audiences for its young and relaxed spirit, in addition to being an environmentally friendly event.
