A 51-year-old man died on the afternoon of this Monday, June 26, after getting into trouble in the water, in the Ria Formosa, in front of the Mercados de Olhão.
The alert was given at 17:34 pm.
When the means arrived at the scene, the man had already been pulled out of the water by a member of the public, being promptly assisted by the Municipal Firefighters of Olhão and by the Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER).
Even so, it was not possible to reverse the situation, with death being declared on the spot.
The body was later transported to the Medico-Legal Office of Faro, after contacting the Public Ministry.
