Children's Folklore Festival gathers 250 children in Baixa de Faro

The 28th Children's Folklore Festival will bring together this Friday, June 16th, 250 children at Jardim Manuel Bívar, in Baixa de Faroat 20 pm.

The children, belonging to various folkloric groups, – created within the framework of the Children's Folklore Pedagogical Project, which runs throughout the school term and aims to stimulate a taste for dance, as well as consolidate local tradition and customs – will act, making known the job done.

The participants are the Children's Folkloric Ranch of Ria Formosa Basic School, the Children's Folkloric Group Joaninha, the Children's Folkloric Group of Casa de Sta. Isabel, the Children's Folk Group o Relógio, the Children's Folklore Ranch of the EB1/JI do Carmo School, the Children's Folklore Ranch of the Bom João EB1 School and the Children's Folklore Ranch of the S. Luís EB1 School.

In a note, the Chamber of Faro recalls that «it transfers funds to the various educational establishments for the development of this initiative, which guarantees the training of young dancers».

Admission is free.
