DiVaM has theater, performance, music, cinema and exhibition in June

This year’s DRCAlg cultural program has the theme “(Un)comfortable Heritage”

Theatre, performance, music, cinema and an exhibition. O DiVaM program – Promotion and Enhancement of Monuments There are many proposals until the end of June, in the monuments allocated to the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve (DRCAlg): Fortress of Sagres, Hermitage of Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe and Roman Ruins of Milreu.

DRCAlg's cultural program has this year's theme “(Un)comfortable Heritage” and presents projects designed for monuments that address this theme with various artistic languages.

On June 16th (Friday), at 17 pm, Amarelarte Associação Cultural e Recreativa presents the piece “Res” at the Roman Ruins of Milreu, followed by a guided tour of the exhibition open to the public at Casa Rural.

The play was created within the scope of the association’s theater and dramatic expression classes, by the TIA group – Teatro Infantil Amarelarte – promoted by Nicole Lissy, Sara De La Féria and Tomás Sousa, and composed of six children, between 4 and 12 years old. , and two young adults.

The group reflected on the problem of bullying, on group dynamics, power hierarchies, oppression, fear and possible solutions.

In this piece, images and scenes created from theatrical exercises of movement and dramatic expression, experiences of children and young people, excerpts from texts by Irene Lisboa and Berthold Brecht and many conversations about bullying, life stories, dynamics in friendships and groups. , rules and laws, fear and courage, possible solutions and what role theater can play.

The exhibition at the Casa Rural showcases the work of students from EB2,3 Poet Emiliano da Costa, from Estoi, on “RESpeito”, carried out within the framework of the “ALMÁGUA” project, and is open to the public until the end of June.

Panapaná – Associação Cultural e Recreativa presents the following day, June 17th, at 16:30 pm, at the villa by Milreu, “As Carpideiras”, an original artistic creation in the field of disciplinary crossings that intersects, in terms of performance, the areas of theater and dance.

The creation of this show was based on research in a diverse conceptual theoretical field, identified in disciplines such as History, Archaeology, Sociology, Religion, Anthropology and Ethnography, due to the themes addressed.

The artistic direction is by Neusa Dias and the co-creation and interpretation is by Marta Gorgulho, Neusa Dias and Sara Martins.

The Chapel of Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe, in Raposeira, hosts another edition of “Os Dias d`As Virgens Negras”, a project that honors this temple, through music and visual arts.

The project is by O Corvo e a Raposa – Associação Cultural and the first performances will take place on the 17th and 18th of June, both at 17 pm, with the concerts “Le Nymphe di Rheno Op.30”, by Johannes Schenk. Duo sonatas for violas de gamba, by Xurxo Varela and Francisco Luengo, will be presented.

As part of this project, on the 25th of June, between 10:00 am and 12:30 pm and from 14:00 pm and 16:30 pm, a cyanotype workshop will be held by Patrícia Leal.

The proposal is for the public to register photographs of the concerts on their mobile phones, and from them, a set of negatives will be created that will be used as a basis for learning and practicing Cyanotype, a specific technique of photographic printing in shades of blue, discovered in the XNUMXth century.

The set of images created during the workshop will be part of an exhibition, which will be on display at the Ermida de Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe, as an artistic memory of the event, starting on the 27th of June.

Music is curated by Daniela Tomaz and Carme Juncadella and visual arts are curated by Ana Celorico Machado.

On the 24th of June, the Fortress of Sagres will host the second session of the film cycle “Libertar a Memória”, organized by the Cineclube de Faro. The film chosen by Gisela Casimiro is “Under the Rug”, by Catarina Demony & Carlos A. Costa.

The film cycle “Libertar a Memória” is artistically coordinated and curated by Luísa Baptista and technically produced by Pedro Mesquita.
