Silves launched today in São Marcos da Serra the official 2023 anti-rabies vaccination campaign and control of other zoonoses, an action that will run in the different parishes of the municipality until the end of December.
This campaign "is intended exclusively for dogs over three months old for which it is not proven that they have a valid anti-rabies vaccination (cats and ferrets are excluded)", according to Câmara de Silves.
«The campaign covers anti-rabies vaccination and marking with a transponder / registration in the SIAC (Company Animal Information System)», adds the municipality.
Until the end of May and early June, in addition to vaccination at the Silves Official Collection Center (former municipal kennel), every Tuesday at 9:00 am, vaccination actions will be carried out by parish, always at 9:30 am.
In São Marcos da Serra, in addition to the action that took place this morning at the Parish Council, actions are scheduled on the 19th of May and 2nd of June, at the restaurants “O Cantinho dos Caçadores” and “Pôr do Sol” (Azilheira), respectively .
In São Bartolomeu de Messines, vaccination takes place on the 11th and 22nd of May, at the Parish Council, and at the same time on the 5th of June, at Café Martins (Perna Seca).
In Tunes, there is vaccination on the 11th and 24th of May, at the Parish Council, and in Algoz the action takes place on the 12th and 25th of May, also at the council premises.
The Parish Councils of Pêra (May 15th and 26th) and Alcantarilha (May 17th and 29th) were also the chosen location to host vaccination actions. In this last parish, the vaccination of dogs will also be promoted on the 1st of June, in Alcantarilha Gare (Malhão)
In Armação de Pêra, vaccination actions take place on the 18th and 31st of May, in Praça Velha.
The service will be carried out in order of arrival.
After the month of May and until December, vaccination can be carried out from Tuesday to Thursday, at the Official Collection Center in Silves, by prior appointment, calling 282 440 800.
The holders/holders of dogs must be accompanied, in addition to their documents (if any), by the Citizen Card or, in their absence, by the Identity Card and Taxpayer Card, so that the respective receipt is issued. collection of fees to be applied, namely:
The rabies vaccination (one-time fee E) costs 10 euros. The Health Bulletin costs one euro and the electronic identification – SIAC registration fee costs 2,5 euros.
