350 boxers from 10 countries compete in Portimão Box Cup

Competition runs from the 26th to the 28th of May

The 3rd edition of the Portimão Box Cup, which will take place between the 26th and 28th of May, will bring together 350 athletes, aged between 13 and 40, representing ten European countries.

This Olympic boxing event will bring together 66 teams, which will defend the colors of Portugal, Spain, England, Norway, Republic of Ireland, Switzerland, Netherlands, France, Wales and Croatia, competing simultaneously in the two rings installed in the Portimão Arena, in a total of more than two hundred combats.

The start of the competition is scheduled for 11:00 am on 26 May, with breaks at 14:00 pm and 18:00 pm, when the opening ceremony will take place.

The following day, May 27th, the competition will start at 14 pm, with breaks scheduled for 00 pm and 16 pm.

Finally, on the 28th, the competition will also start at 14:00 pm, with breaks at 16:00 pm and 18:00 pm, with the prize giving scheduled for 20:30 pm, a time that may change depending on the end of the fights.

Tickets for each day of the competition cost 5 euros and can be purchased online or at the usual places (Portimão
Arena, Teatro Municipal de Portimão and Museu de Portimão), with the possibility of purchasing a ticket for the three days of the tournament, at the unit price of 10 euros.

Children have free entry up to 11 years old, provided they are accompanied by an adult, although it is necessary to present a ticket, in order to guarantee a seat in the stands.

The Portimão Box Cup has a charitable nature and half of the amount collected at the ticket office will be donated in equal parts to CATRAIA – Temporary Reception Center for Minors at Risk and to Casa Nossa Senhora da Conceição, institutions supported throughout the year by Escola Boxe Portimão , following the partnership established in this regard.
