12th edition of Motofest will have animation, adrenaline and music

MotoFest takes place this Saturday, May 13, from 14 pm

The 12th edition of MotoFest, in Albufeira, is scheduled for this Saturday, May 13th, and will bring together lovers of motorcycles, animation, adrenaline and music.

The opening is scheduled for 14 pm, but it is from 00 pm that speed sets in with the free “15 CC Starts”, followed by the free “00 CC Starts”. At 50 pm, Jaque Stunt and NH Pina Stunt Team & “Horror Circus” will perform on Avenida dos Descobrimentos and promise to dazzle spectators with their risky stunt riding maneuvers and daring drifts.

The “Arranques 50 CC” Final will be at 17:15 pm and at 17:30 pm will be the turn of the “Arranques 125 CC” Final. The “madness” will continue with the gastronomic test, which tests the taste buds of the most courageous participants, entitled “Infernal wings”, at 18 pm, after the award ceremony of the competitions, at 30 pm.

The program also includes a “Special Sunset” performance with Jaque Stunt and NH Pina Stunt Team & Horror Circus, at 20:45 pm, and an hour later, Ana Sofia Brito presents a fire show.

Also highlighted this year is the international meeting of “Honda Goldwing – Parade of Nations”. The car park in front of the Albufeira Judicial Court will be the meeting point for around 150 motorcycles, whose model is a reference for true motorcycle enthusiasts.

The traditional musical performance this year is in charge of Peste & Sida.

José Carlos Rolo, mayor of Albufeira, says that «it is with great joy and pride that Albufeira hosts, once again, MotoFest, an event so cherished by the people of Albufeira and that simultaneously promotes the Municipality at national level in the period before the summer season".

Cristiano Cabrita, vice-president of the Municipality and responsible for the area of ​​associations, underlines «that these events are proof of the great commitment and enormous investment of the municipality in the sports area, both in terms of providing infrastructure and support to clubs and associations and the creation of conditions for the practice of outdoor sports, also being a strong contribution to the development of Sports Tourism", which in his opinion "also contributes to consolidating Albufeira's candidacy for the European City of Sport in 2026».
