Portimonense woke up in time to avoid defeat against Rio Ave

Welinton Júnior was the man of the match and the savior of the Algarve

Portimonense managed to draw a draw in the last minutes of the game with Rio Ave, played this Saturday, April 8th, at the Municipal de Portimão.

The Algarve were losing by two zero, but goals two goals from Welinton Júnior, the last one at 90+7 minutes, allowed the tie to two balls.

Patrick William, in the 19th minute, and Costinha, in the 74th minute, gave the advantage to Rio Ave, who were looking to get back to winning ways after losing against leader Benfica (1-0), but Welinton Júnior secured a tie for Portimonense, with goals at 82 and 90+7.

With this result, Portimonense, who haven't won for five rounds, since February 18, when they beat Marítimo at home (2-1), occupies 14th place, with 27 points, when 27 rounds have been played.
