Paulo de Carvalho works in Silves and marks the 49th Anniversary of the 25th of April

At Teatro Mascarenhas Gregório, at 21:30

Paulo de Carvalho will perform at Teatro Mascarenhas Gregório, in Silves, at 21 pm, in the context of LADO B and in an initiative integrated in the Commemorations of the 30th Anniversary of the 49th of April.

Paulo de Carvalho has marked the history of Portuguese music over the last 60 years. At the beginning of his musical career he helped form the Pop-Rock group “Os Sheiks” where he plays drums.

In the years 1970/71/73/74/75 and 77 he had a great participation in the Festival RTP da Canção, which he won twice. In 1974, the song with which he won, “E tarde do Adeus”, is the first password of the Carnation Revolution that re-establishes Democracy in Portugal.

Years of hard work and great participation in the renewal of Portuguese Popular Music followed, with the winning of several prizes and public recognition.

In this show, the musician revisits some of the songs that mark these 60 years of his career, in the company of Cuban pianist Victor Zamora, his partner for many years in his musical adventures.

Tickets can be purchased through the online ticket office. BOL and at the usual points of sale (FNAC, Worten, CTT, EI Corte Inglês and Youth Hostels), with an associated cost of 10 euros. They can also be purchased on the day of the show, at the venue, from 20 pm, if there is a ticket office available.

In a note, the municipality of Silves recalls that the section Side B «seeks to present the public with a more relaxed and intimate version of the artists». The concert, as a rule, is associated with a brief conversation as a way of bringing the public closer to the artist.
