Lagoa has, since the beginning of this year, a mural, in the City Hall building, painted by Stephen Jones, known in the world of urban art as Huariu.
The mural, where an old photo of Rua Coronel Figueiredo is represented, marks the commemorations of the 250th anniversary of the creation of the municipality of Lagoa.
Despite still being young, Stephen Jones already has graffiti spread all over the world, including in the United States and several countries in Europe, having recently seen one of his murals in the competition being chosen as the best in the world, in the year 2022.
«I thank Stephen for agreeing to paint the mural that marks an important date for Lagoa and for the people of Lagoa and I congratulate him for the extraordinary work, which also contributes, and a lot, to the “Pride in Being Lagoa”», says Luís Encarnação, mayor of Lagoa.
