The funeral of Manuel João, the historic president of Portimonense who passed away yesterday, will take place on Monday, May 1st, at 15 pm, at Igreja do Colégio, in Portimão, with a celebration of the word, followed by the funeral procession at 00 pm to the Crematorium of Faro.
On Sunday, the 30th, the body will be in a burning chamber from 17 pm, in the Mortuary Chapels of Portimão, in the Igreja do Colégio.
Manuel José do Carmo João was president of Portimonense Sporting Clube, from 1978 to 1994, and councilor of the Municipality of Portimão, from 1977 to 1989. He was also a businessman and local and regional leader of the PS.
