The Municipality of Silves promotes, on the 18th of March, the Cultural Tour “Lisboa, Lugares de João de Deus”, as part of the commemorations of the 193rd anniversary of the birth of the poet and pedagogue.
This initiative will pass through emblematic places connected to the life and experiences of João de Deus.
Participation in the Cultural Tour “Lisboa, Lugares de João de Deus” is free, however it is subject to mandatory prior registration, limited to existing vacancies, until the 14th of March.
The program starts at 6:30 am, departing from Silves. At 7:00 am departure from São Bartolomeu de Messines at the Bus Terminal.
Between 10:00 and 12:30 there is a guided tour of the João de Deus House Museum, in Lisbon, and a guided tour of the João de Deus Museum – Bibliographic, Pedagogical and Artistic.
Between 12:45 and 14:30 there is lunch at the Restaurant “O Lavrador”.
At 15:30 pm there is a scheduled visit to the National Pantheon and at 16:30 pm it is time to return.
