House rents per square meter increased by 3,8% in February compared to the same month of 2022, accelerating compared to the 3,6% of the previous month and with all regions showing year-on-year increases, INE announced today.
According to the National Institute of Statistics (INE), in February «all regions showed positive year-on-year changes in housing rents, with the Autonomous Region of Madeira registering the most intense increase (4,4%)».
As for the average value of housing rents per square meter, it registered a monthly variation of 0,5%, below the 0,6% of the previous month.
The regions with the highest positive monthly change were the North and Lisbon (0,5%), with no region showing a negative change in the respective average value of housing rents.
