Portimão opens applications to allocate 414 dwellings under supported leasing regime

The 414 dwellings to be made available for supported leasing will be built in two areas of the city of Portimão

This Friday, March 10, the Portimão Council will open applications to allocate 414 dwellings under supported leasing, to be built in the areas of Coca Maravilhas and Cabeço do Mocho and intended for families with housing shortages.

National and foreign citizens, holders of a valid permanent residence permit in the national territory, and over 18 years old, residing in the municipality of Portimão for five years or more, uninterruptedly and registered here, whose net monthly income per capita does not exceed 1,5 of the social support index and that are not covered by any legal impediment.

The 414 dwellings to be made available for supported leasing will be built in two areas of the city of Portimão, according to the following typologies: Coca Maravilhas (23 T1, 140 T2 and 41 T3), in a total of 204 dwellings, and Cabeço do Mocho (194 T1 and 16 T4), in a total of 210 dwellings.

The lease agreement is signed for 10 years and the amount of rent will be determined by applying an effort rate to the household's corrected monthly income.

The amount cannot be less than 2% of the IAS – Social Support Index in force, which at the moment is 480,43 euros.

The application period runs until December 28 of this year, and must be delivered in a sealed envelope, with an indication of the designation of the tender procedure on the outside, both at the Division of Housing, Social Development and Health, of the Municipality of Portimão (Praça 1. º de Maio, between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm and from 14:00 pm to 16:00 pm), or at the Municipal Single Desk (Rua do Comércio, 31, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 14:00 pm to 16:00 pm), or by mail, through registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt, within the period set for this purpose.

 

 

The formalization of the application is carried out by submitting a specific application, made available by the City Council, to which all instructive documents must be attached, according to the regulation, made available here

All clarifications may be requested within 30 working days after the publication of the notice of opening, in writing, to the competition jury, through the e-mail [email protected] or delivered directly to the services of the Division of Housing, Social Development and Health of the Municipality of Portimão, as well as at the Municipal Single Counter.

The elaboration of the Local Housing Strategy (LHS) 2020-2030 for the Municipality of Portimão was structured within an integrated perspective.

By 2026, the Municipality of Portimão foresees an investment of around 85 million euros, which includes the construction of around 800 dwellings and the rehabilitation of 582 dwellings.

As part of the 1st Law Program and the Collaboration Agreement with the Institute for Housing and Urban Rehabilitation (IHRU), an investment of close to 2025 million euros is foreseen by 70, with the construction of 572 dwellings, with the 414 dwellings relating to to the now open tender will cost around 38 million euros, with completion scheduled for 2025.

The 1st Law Program is regulated by Decree-Law No. 37/2018, of May 4, and aims to support the promotion of housing solutions for people who live in undignified conditions and do not have the financial capacity to support the cost of housing. access to adequate housing.

This program is based on a promotional dynamic predominantly aimed at building rehabilitation and renting, and is aimed at households included in the survey carried out when the ELH of the municipality of Portimão was drawn up.
