New ADSE tables make consultations in psychiatry, pediatrics and obstetrics more expensive

Updating of tables “aimed at facilitating access to the ADSE network, avoiding the previously reported constraints”

The new price lists of the agreed ADSE regime, which came into force on Wednesday, showed increases in co-payments in several consultations, such as psychiatry, pediatrics and obstetrics, according to a comparison made today by Lusa.

In total, eight of the 79 types of queries covered by these tables, which define the price to be paid by the health subsystem and beneficiaries to providers with an agreement, suffered increases in charges for ADSE and beneficiaries, in view of the tables that came into force in early 2022.

The type of consultation that registered the biggest increase was the multidisciplinary consultation – oncology, whose charge for beneficiaries increased from 19,95 euros to 32,42 euros, and for ADSE from 72,35 euros to 117,58 euros.

In turn, the costs for beneficiaries with a pediatric consultation increase from 7,00 to 9,00 euros – the amount reimbursed by ADSE rises from 28,00 to 36,00 euros.

The price, borne by the beneficiary, of dermatovenereology, gynecology, obstetrics, psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry and rheumatology consultations also rose from 5,00 euros to 7,60 euros, while the charge for the ADSE increased from 20,00. 30,40 for XNUMX euros.

Of the 79 codes referring to consultations in the document, 37 refer to teleconsultations. All of these maintained their price to be borne by the beneficiary at 3,99 euros, while the amount shared by ADSE amounts to 14,47 euros. Likewise, teleconsultations have an annual limit of 12.

Consultations under the regime of permanent medical care and permanent medical care and observation service kept the beneficiaries' co-payments at 19,55 and 25,00 euros, respectively, against ADSE charges of 20,45 and 30,00 euros.

The update came into effect on Wednesday and, according to a note published by the ADSE on its website, it “contains the revision of some prices of medical acts that, due to their value, hindered the access of beneficiaries to providers agreed with the ADSE ”.

According to the health subsystem, this update of the tables “aims to facilitate access to the ADSE network, avoiding the constraints” previously reported.
