The Câmara de Lagos will organize, this month, clarification sessions on land cleaning, in various locations in the county.
«In a logic of proximity, the free sessions in all parishes of the municipality have as main objective to clarify the community about the importance and obligation of land cleaning and the existence of fuel management lanes with a view to greater safety», says the Lagos Chamber.
Especially aimed at owners of houses in the countryside or in the forest, «the actions also aim to raise awareness of the danger of rural fire and respective preventive measures so that they do not put people and property at risk», he adds.
Land clearing must be carried out by April 30th, which may involve the payment of a fine of up to 1500 euros (individuals) or 5000 euros (companies), so the sessions will also include documentation with recommendations and practical advice on this need. .
