Athletes João Vieira, from Sporting, and Ana Cabecinha, from Clube Oriental de Pechão, were crowned today, for the 10th time in both cases, national champions of the 20 km race walk, in a competition that took place in Buarcos, in the Figueira da Foz.

In a race won by the Colombian Eider Arévalo, with a time of 1:21.54 hours, the Sporting player, who was third, right behind another Colombian, Anderson Callejas, recovered the national title that he lost last season to Benfica's Rui Coelho, securing thus his 10th national title.

Vieira finished the race with a time of 1:25.16 hours, having beaten Rui Coelho, who today became national runner-up, in 2.27 minutes.

Ana Cabecinha won her 10th title, the fifth in a row, by winning the race in 1:32.20 hours, clearly surpassing the runner-up, the individual Vitória Oliveira, who finished the race with over 2.06 minutes.

In the sub-20 race, Guilherme Rodrigues (Sporting) was the winner in the men's race, completing the 10 km in 46.58 minutes, while Beatriz Gonçalves (Lavra) was crowned national champion in the women's race, covering the same distance in 52.52 minutes.
