VATe took theater to the children of São Brás de Alportel

VATe is an ACTA educational service project

VATe (Vamos Apanhar o Teatro) passed through São Brás de Alportel, on the 30th and 31st of January, to present the play “Novos Velhos Sonhos” to the 3rd and 4th year students of the José Belchior Viegas School Group.

The play presented in the special theater bus of VATe, by ACTA – A Companhia de Teatro do Algarve, «tells the story of an old man who lived alone and talked to himself or to the walls, after his daily routines», says the Chamber from São Brás de Alportel.

The students also had the opportunity to participate in the “Novos Velhos Sonhos” workshop, where they played and performed dramatic exercises, alluding to and referring to the theme of the show.

VATe is an ACTA educational service project based on the transformation of a double-decker bus into a concert hall, with a stage, audience, backstage and dressing rooms, with the aim of working with communities in the interior of the Algarve, with low population density, geographically distant from cultural centers and, consequently, from artistic and cultural activities.
