Minimum services in schools remain next week

Minimum services in schools will continue next week, maintaining the requirements already in force, such as guaranteeing meals and support for students with special educational needs.

The minimum services for the next 6th and 7th of February were decreed today by the Arbitration Court and relate to prior strike notices made by the Union of All Education Professionals (S.TO.P.), according to information released by the Directorate- General Administration and Public Employment (DGAEP).

The rules that had already been defined for this week are maintained, with the Ministry of Education's proposal on the "provision of three educational hours" for pre-school and 1st cycle children and "three times daily lectures” for the other students.

Schools must ensure that students remain safe in recess, meals and support for children with special educational needs as well as students at risk.
